Turkey Burgers: 1 lb of ground turkey (I love this stuff) 1/2 -1 cup of chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms 2-3 cloves garlic 1- 2 tsp. black pepper 2-3 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. onion powder The first thing I do is combine the onion, green pepper, and mushrooms in a bowl with a little bit of water and microwave for about 1-2 minutes. This will keep the veggies from being crunchy in the final product. Then I add the veggies and all the spices to the turkey and mix well. I then form into patties and "fry" them in a non-stick skillet for about 6-8 minutes each side, depending on the size of the patties. This recipe will make 10-12 patties. I make a whole bunch at one time to have on hand for easy lunches or snacks. I love to top mine with my homemade salsa. Enjoy!
