Hi there everyone!!
Well, I've been in my new home a week now and I THINK I've just about got everyone here trained!
My humans were easy, but the other animals are more stubborn. They wanted to do things their own way and I had to show them that there's a NEW Sheriff in town! They finally got it for the most part, but that "Junior" is really hard headed. I guess I'll just have to bite his tail a few more times for him to "get it".
One of the things I've had the most fun with is my Brown Cow toy. I like to cuddle with it on the heating pad in my bed when I rest or sleep during the day. Nighttime sleeping is another story though. That's when I get to be close to my mommy Evelynn. I start out laying on her chest to help her relax and breathe good, and it's so warm there too! Then, I move to the bed after she's warmed a spot for me and I lay in the crook of her arm until she goes to sleep. Once she's snoring, I know it's ok for me to go where I love best, all the way under the blanket and behind her knees where it's the warmest place ever!! I don't mind when she moves around much, I just squeal and she stops.
Daddy Ernie likes to feed me. He says it's cute because I seem to be "top heavy". When I'm eating out of the deeper bowl, my rear end keeps lifting up and I nearly take a nose dive into the bowl. He says he's going to figure out a way to put a weight on my rear so that doesn't happen. Anyway, I like when he feeds me cause I get nice warm food that's really good, not just regular dog food. He mixes it with rice and hamburger and vitamins and lets me eat while protecting me between his legs. He makes sure all the others don't get to MY food before I'm done. I think that's funny because they just don't seem to understand who's the boss now (giggles)!
I'm in school now!! I'm working hard at it and I'll get it fixed to my own way soon enough, but for now, I'm humoring my humans and doing it their way. I'm learning to sit, stay, and come to my name!! I'll tell you a secret - it's really not so hard, I just like to torment them to watch them get frustrated. When they do, THEN I do what they want and they just can't figure that out!! HA HA HA HA I'm really smart, I just like to do things MY way!! I really suprised them today when I waved "bye bye"..hee hee hee. I'll explain that one when mommy Evelynn can get a picture of it. I only do it when she DOESN'T have the camera in hand, of course.
All of the neighbors have met me finally and so far there's only one I don't like too much. He's a nasty looking human who smells like cats. Maybe that's because he has so many. I growl at him and don't let him touch me. I especially like the lady across the street and always wag my tail and bark for her when she comes to visit. I don't want to leave mommy Evelynn's lap though, oh no..can't do that. But I let the lady know I like her.
Rembember now, I'll be updating this all the time so peek back soon.
As you'll see in the newer pictures, mommy Evelyn took my blanket from my bed to wash - I'm not a happy camper at the moment!! So, I decided to hang out with daddy Ernie and watch some tv with him but I fell asleep on his warm tummy. When I woke up, I wanted to play but he was still watching tv so I started nipping at his foot - THAT got his attention and we played "sock game" together. That's where I pull on the bottom of his sock and he tries to stop me...hehehehehee.
Talk to you soon!!
