One More Mile

Long have we been parted,
Our lives…they grew apart,
So I undertook a journey,
That has…but one more mile-
The journey was…but of the heart,
A searching…of the soul,
That now…is at an end,
It has…but one more mile-
For I sought an answer as to why,
Was not certain…I would find it,
And now…have come full circle,
For I have…but one more mile--
For…in my returning,
I know the meaning now,
Of the love we shared together,
And I have…but one more mile-
Will thee be there…waiting?
I pray…that it be so,
