Are There Limits to Science?
A report by:

With evermore increases in the knowledge of science, there comes the real possibility of reaching a limit to that knowledge. There are currently two theorems in the scientific community [one for computers, the other for mathematics (the Godelian limits) ] which have established that[to date]no system exists that can answer all questions about numbers, nor determine whether a given program will fail when processing data.
There are many intractable problems which face the computer scientist and the mathematician; Problems that, if given to a computer to solve, would take the fastest computer in existence several billion years [if ever]. But the mind of man is not a computer [in the literal sense], and therefore has the capacity to leap beyond logic; Perhaps the answer lies within the mind of man itself, perhaps this is where his future lies.
Not in the dry limitations of the scientific world, but in the infinite realms of the natural one. Only time alone will answer that question; God willing, we will find the answer.
Medicine For the Next Century
A report by:

With the advances made in the field of medicine over the last century, we are now capable of the replacement of many of the bodies parts. From corneas, down to the muscles and tendons as well. Not just with compatible organs, but with artificial ones as well. Lately, however, there has been a infusion of animal organs, artificial blood, and Liquid air.
The most controversial of course has been the use of animal organs for transplantation into human hosts. As our methods of correcting rejection improve, these options are becoming more mainstream, but what of the ethical and moral implications? As a matter of personal belief, I find myself in the corner of those whom believe that no animals' life is worth more than a humans.
And yet, when the possibility of the use of artificial organs is an option, I consider this the lesser of two evils. Yet considering how far we have come since the first physicians, who knows what wonders await us in the next century. Yet with these wonders, comes the awesome responsibility not to abuse them as well. For just as they can be used to better the condition of man, so can they be used to harm it as well.
