� Battle of the Books � During last week�s Book Day, our class held our very own Battle of the Books, a quiz-bowl-style game with questions based on books that students had read. For students who enjoyed that event, I have a new opportunity. Mrs. Akos and I are considering the formation of a new TDS Battle of the Books team. Participating students in grades 5-8 would read a list of 10-15 books and take part in an in-house competition this spring. If there is enough interest, a TDS team (grade 6-8) will take part in the state-sponsored competition during the 2009-2010 school year. We will hold an interest meeting for this year�s team during the first week in December (exact date and time to be announced in class).
