In addition, some students have volunteered to wear baseball uniforms for our Take Me Out to the Ball Game number. Thank You Thank you so much to the Sporn family for hosting our Family Heritage Potluck Supper. It was wonderful to spend time with all of you and share such delicious food. Calzone Recipe Several of you asked for my grandmothers calzone recipe, so here it is. Enjoy! 1. Roll out 12-16 ounces pizza or bread dough on a floured surface. I usually use Pillsbury pizza crust. 2. Cover with favorite toppings. I use pound ham, pound salami, and 1 pound provolone cheese. Dont overfill or your calzone will burst! Also, put little or no sauce inside, as this makes the calzone soggy. 3. Roll up jellyroll style. Place on cookie sheet seam side down. Brush lightly will beaten egg, melted butter, or olive oil. This gives the calzone a shiny crust. 4. Bake for about 30 minutes at 375 degree. Let sit 5-10 minutes before slicing. * Delicious hot or cold. Freezes and reheats well. Great way to get rid of left-overs. |
