| Handwriting Our goal in fifth grade is to have all student work written in cursive. (Appropriate exceptions will be explained in class.) However, while we review our cursive letter formation at the beginning of the year, students may print if they prefer. Students may choose pen or pencil for most assignments, but all Math assignments must be done in pencil. P. E. Attire - Students should wear sneakers and comfortable clothing for P.E. on Mondays and Thursdays. I would also encourage sneakers for recess time; its difficult to play kickball in dress shoes! Help Sessions - On Monday afternoons, from 3:15 to 4:00 pm, I will offer an open Help Session in our classroom. This is designed for students who need additional assistance completing homework, reviewing classroom lessons, sharpening general skills, or studying for tests. Many students also come to help session because they simply want a quiet environment for homework. Attendance is voluntary, and there is no need to sign up in advance. Just drop on in! Contacting Ms. Tedeschi - You will receive updates from me throughout the year, and I hope that you will feel free to contact me either at school (383-8800, x 116) or at home (401-2572).
