Holley Intake Manifold

Man was this manifold ever fun. I intailly have had alot of  problems with this manifold, but have since gotten a new one to replace it. In the pictures below you can see what this thing is supposed to look like. The manifiold  i initially recieved had alot of core shift & poor machining.Core shift is basically when the mold the  manufacturer is using to cast something moves during the casting process. On port runner 1 pictured below,on my manifold that runner was raised (core shift). The runner was so raised that i had less than 1/8th on an inch worth of material on the manifold to seal it. For comparison sake look at Holley 1 it shows 1/4 of an inch worth of material around the port, this is how it is supposed to be.Needless to say that raised port caused a huge vacumme leak, and thus making my mustang run like crap. Holley has since sent me a new one & i am awaiting the arrival. Once in good tune (no vacummme leak) this manifold should be a real screemer & is getting great reviews.

                                                                      Flash Update:
I have just recieved my new manifold from Holley. The lower intake looks 100% better, but the upper is still having core shift problems. I will update later as needed.

The throttle body & spacer i used is from BBK/Edelbrock, now before you satrt maoning & groaning  let me tell you my experience with it.Everyone always complains of throttle sticking & whistleing when using these throttle bodies. Now everybody & thier brother has quick fixes to solve these problems, i will address them, but i have not encounted these problems.
