| Beginning in Brighton as a soul outfit (with two forgettable 45s on Columbia), this magnificent band arrived in London at the height of 1967 and were soon swept up in the psychedelic rage. The stunning "Children of Tomorrow" was their masterpiece, released in February 1968 on the tiny Jewel label. However this version is their rare John Peel session, and has never been on LP. What we'd really love to find is a videotape of the BBC's documentry of this band, a sort of "day in the life of a pop group thing" which was actually rerun in 1990, though nobody seems to have taped it! Also, if you own an Elektra album by a group called Leviathan, it's a late incarnation of these guys |
