| Laughter echoes outside my window, the sounds of children playing in the snow. Snowmen appear in every front yard, dressed up in colorful rags for show. There's snowball fights and children's giggles, and pretty angels formed in the snow. Eyes full of laughter and cold winter winds, give children's faces a rosy glow. Off in the distance lies a hill, littered with bright colored sleds. Paths are formed from sliding downhill, each slide down brings another thrill. Children love the first snowfall, they love the day off from school. This is a special day of the year, a day when fun is the only rule. The sound of children's laughter brings the street to life, fills hearts with joy. Even parents take time on this day, stopping to chat, to laugh, to just enjoy. |
