| Life of Colors |
| I've often wondered how it would be, if I described my life in colors what shades would I see? White for my childhood, sweet years of youth were pure and good. Red for the teenage years. Hot, rebellious, full of puppy love and tears. Yellow for sunny days on the beach, sifting through shells white and peach. Walks on the beach at night, black, yet bright, with twinkling stars and a lovers moonlight. Pink for the day I met you, not red, yet definately not blue. Rosy pink for days spent together, I closed my eyes to the stormy weather. Gold for the day we married, not realizing then that gold can be so cold. White glitter for my children, sweetness, my heart bursting with love from within. My marriage to you all beige and gray, as day by day the gold peeled away. Dark gray for the day we finally parted, leaving me alone so downhearted. Now skies are blue again, filled with warm sunny light. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. I see my garden full of green and growing things. I now look forward to each new day and my life is growing in so many ways. There's a rainbow of colors still waiting for me, with many wonders I've yet to see. Copyright 2003 |
