This page is dedicated to my Tara, who lost her battle with Mast Cell Sarcoma, June 10, 2002. Unlike most Mast cell victims, Tara'st tumor was on her head. You can see it in this picture. It grew through chemo. She was so healthy, but that tumor was growing very rapidly. She is waiting at the bridge. She did get to taste one last toad this season. Special Thanks to the Cancer Lady, for all her help and input. Without it, Tara would have been gone long ago! Thanks Linda.

This is Nathan in the front, he is the rescue pup, not a pup anymore. 105 lbs and 2 years old. Tara in the background, they are resting after a game of chasing the reflection from the mirror. Well, Nathan chases the reflection, Tara just chased Nathan and bit him in the hind end as he ran.

I urge anyone with a cancer pet to get them off commercial dog food ASAP, and on to a good nutritional plan with vitamins and supplements. I believe nutrition is key to good health for your pet. Had I known earlier what I know now, it's possible this would have never happened to my dog. She died at the age of 12, and probably would have lived to be 16 or 17 if not for the tumor.
I will be working on a cancer page, with links and information, supplements, nutrition and hopefully that will be up in a couple months. Check back if you need this information and don't know where to go. I hope it will provide good information for others that are in the same situation as Tara and our family were.
