September 14, 2002The morning of the shower I was very nervous.  I couldnt understand why because this was going to be an intimate gathering with family and friends.  I kept telling myself, if I am this nervous now, can you imagine how nervous I am going to be on my wedding day!

The shower was wonderful!  It was great to spend time with my future in-laws, my friends (old and new), and of course, my family.  As most of you know, my mother, Betty Stuckey, and my matron of honor, Lynne Graves, hosted the shower.  They both worked very hard to make this day special for me.

Lynne prepared a few games for us to play such as Bridal Trivia, Whats in the Bag, Purse Power, etc.  My favorite was Whats in the Bag?  In the beginning you are passing a paper bag around just like you would pass the potato around in Hot Potato.  As soon as the music stops, both you and the person who handed you the bag must go in the middle, close your eyes, and try and figure out what is in the bag.  Once you have figured it out, you must put whatever the items are in the bag on your partner in the proper area.  For example, if it was lipstick and blush, you must find the other persons lips and cheeks, with your eyes closed, and proceed to put it on your partner, still keeping your eyes closed.  It was great watching this!

For those who were able to come, thank you for your generous gifts and making my bridal shower even more special.  For those who were unable to come, we missed you, but we do hope that we will see you at the wedding.  Until then, take care!

The shower was given with an Autumn theme.  Gold's, oranges, reds, and yellows where the colors of the day.

Everyone had a wonderful time playing the different games.  It was a beautiful day and most of the activities took place in the porch with a cool breeze lightly blowing.
