To create a hyperlink to a
Website in a PowerPoint presentation:
1.
Using
Internet Explorer, find an Internet site you wish to link to
a.
Click
in the address bar at the top to select the entire address (you know it’s
highlighted when the entire address is blue)
b.
Right-click
in the address bar and left-click on Copy
2.
Go
back to PowerPoint by clicking on the application along the bottom of the
screen (assuming you already have PowerPoint open)
3.
Type
the text you wish to appear on your slide
a.
Highlight
the text
b.
Right-click
on the text and left-click on Hyperlink
c.
At
the bottom of the pop-up window, click to the right of Address
d.
Hit
Ctrl-V
e.
Click
OK
4.
When
running the presentation, click on the underlined hyperlink to open a new
window and go to that web site
a.
Once
you are done on the web site, click the back button in the upper left corner of
the screen to return to your PowerPoint presentation
5.
Hit
[Esc] to get out of a PowerPoint presentation
