Welcome to all I/L magi and/or, soon to become I/L magi.
This is the guide that will help you to become a well balanced and well structured Ice Lightning mage.
I will try to keep this guide as short as i can!

Lv range	Area and description
Recommendation	I recommend doing any quest that you get the first 20 lvs. Since that means alot of exp for you. And items to fond yourself with.
1 to 8	Stay on MapleIsland and kill the enemies and do the quests that are there till you're lv 8, so that you will be able to become a magican right away.
1st job adv	As soon as you get to lv 8. Go to the highest part of Ellinia town and become a magican by talking to grandel the really old.
8 to 11	Go to "Dungeon, Southern Forest I " (More known as the SlimeTree) and kill slimes till you're lv 11.
11 - 17	Go to SleepyWood and enter the ant tunnel and kill zombie mushrooms and horny mushrooms.

Why Ice lightning? That is a question quite a lot of new maplers ask me.
To answer that question. There are a lot of reasons to why you chose I/L mage.
For one, We can kill any enemy that we can hit and that is not of ice element. Imagine if you would want to go kill a gatekeeper, and that you have enough int to hit it. You can kill it without loosing any HP. Maybe you're lv 70 and want to kill it. Then go ahead. Just kill it. Easy.
In other words. One of the best qualities of an I/L mage is that we use ice on enemies to freeze them. But the ice isnt the only thing that makes an I/L mage good. We also use the most powerful element in the game (note that i am not saying "the best"). I am of course talking about lightning. We also have the best mob skills in the game.
As you can see. There are a lot of good reasons to why you should become and I/L mage.
