NIGHT SHIFT c.Stephen King 1976,1977,1978 A collection of 20 short stories. 5 have been made into movies, Trucks (also inspired the movie Maximum Overdrive), The Mangler, Sometimes they Come Back, Graveyard Shift, and Children of the corn 1 inspired the movie The Lawnmower man which in turn inspired a sequel to the movie. Although the story inspired this movie it was not actually based on the story. Also 'The Ledge' and 'Quitters, inc.' were included in the film Cat's Eye, which was a few short segments interconnected. Also 2 of stories: The boogeyman, and The Woman in the Room were released as short films on their own. Sometimes they come back, and Children of the Corn each inspired many sequels. |

THE PLANT Released in installments as an e-book. It was released on the honor system trusting people to download the book first and pay for it later. It was stated that the book would continue as long as 75% of the downloads were paid for. It was a good idea for those of us without a credit card as we could send a check or money order as payment. Unfortunately many people thought they didn't have to pay.In the beginning the percentage was good but it dropped with each installment. The project was put on hold, it may return it may not all we can do is wait and see. And yes, I paid for mine. |
