Event Review
      This Motown-Philly themed event was held on Saturday May 11, 2002 at the Radisson Hotel Grand Ballroom in Mount laurel NJ.  Motown Legend Richard Street, formerly of the Temptations and Motown 60's recording group the Monitors,  was honored for his contribution to American popular music and his dedicated performances for various charities world-wide.  He received proclamations from the Mayor of Willingboro NJ and a New Jersey State Senate Proclamation.

     Live performances included Philly-Soul legend Siddiq who performed from the song book of Barry White. RnB/Jazz recording artist Ms. Marilyn Marshall entertained with selections from her current CD "Hold On", and dueted with  Richard Street on the Linda Creed Composition "You make me feel Brand New".  Atlantic records premeire vocal group LMNT (alumni from MTV's "Making the Band") performed "Papa was a rolling Stone" in tribute to Richard Street. LMNT(element) is presently on tour promoting their debut album "All Sides".

     Guest speakers included former Motown executive and author Weldon McDougal, radio and TV personality Diane Brown (WDAS, WHAT, B101-philadelphia),  legendary DJ Bobby Jay of WCBS FM New York, and Philly MC James "Hollywood" Brooks.  Christina Johnson, a represenative from the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation,  was also in attendence  to speak about the organization which was established in 1987 to honor late Sound of Philadelphia songwriter Linda Creed, who passed away from breast cancer in 1986.  All of the guest speakers were personal friends of Linda Creed.  Motown Legend Richard Street recorded several of her compositions while he was lead singer with the Temptations.  TKM Productions DJ Jeff Weiman  provided the music for the after concert Dance party with the stars.   WBZC FM radio personality Tim Marshall was promoter and host of the event, with friends and fans from all over the U.S. and Canada in attendence.
