My
name is Gail, a.k.a. MS. LOVEY taken from the character
LOVEY KRAVEZIT as in the MATT HELM James Bond spoof THE
SILENCERS. I was one of the original "MsLovey" on the
internet over seven years ago (1993) as my handle in most areas. I joined
the original Geocities and Tripod in October 1997 and am still designing.
I love designing graphics and webs sites. My interests are of course Computers, then Bowling, Arts, Animals, Camping, Mountains, Forests, Beaches, Children, Helping those in need, most of all - all the little things in life that are most important, and anything else in-between. I have also traveled most all the world in my lifetime. I spent part of my junior and all my high school life in Europe and proud to be a military "brat." I am a graduate and alumni of the now infamous FRANKFURT AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL in Germany which our government "lovingly" shut down in 1995 as one of the oldest and longest standing American High Schools in Europe. Since early times in my life, traveling has always been an interest even if it is to drive to another city/state just to visit a best friend or to camp out for the weekend. I am what you call a female computer nerd I guess. Yes, there are a few of us around and growing. I have been in the business since the Atari's when I was young - still am!! I started programming software programs in BASIC for the Atari's and when the IBM PC's first came out, I was hooked ever since. I programmed software in BASIC and COBOL at that time, then moved on to C/C++. Since that time, I have learned to program in most languages out there today including Java. I am also an amateur artist and designer in various mediums who never pursued my talent. I have also taught classes in computer programming, PC's, software, and the various operating systems. I have always been a repair or fix-it type of person, a.k.a. MsFix_it , MsFyxxit, and MsFixxit, always amazing the male gender out there that females can also do the same and still be feminine. I have been programming, building, repairing, installing, and/or troubleshooting PCs since they first came out. But, as one knows, you always have to keep learning and be up-to-date with the ever fast growing and changing technology out there today. I still continue to take self-training or college courses to keep up. I have also owned and currently own my own computer business, which I thoroughly enjoy. There is not much money in it, but I like helping those who don't understand to understand and not be afraid of computers. I like a job that lets me do what I do best TALK! I am in very strong support, as you see, of not only the rainforests of the world and the endangered species, but of our own forests and animals, which are depleting very rapidly. I abhor people who waste paper or don't practice recycling. Save a tree - they may not be in our grand children's children's lives! Endangered species such as the whale, tigers, red wolf, gorilla, pandas, polar bears, and the list goes on will be extinct in OUR lifetime. Trees and the rainforest in our childrens lifetime. We as the people of our United States and the world needs to be more aware and concerned so our children of tomorrow can enjoy what we have today. This is a TEAM effort of everyone, and the only way is to get our government to do their part by continually voicing and/or writing to our Congress persons in support. Everyone has to be involved in order to get anything accomplished! I have a pet project that I will be starting on one of my other web site pages concerning our "lost" and "forgotten" children -- meaning those who are orphaned, ill and terminally ill children who have hopes and dreams as you and I. I want to help make people more aware of the "other" children of the world as I have seen them. Ask me about it!
