thank you everyone for being so patient with me. Credit for this chapter's idea
goes to Aamalie XD I've been having a major writer's
block lately so she suggested working on this since a) it's smaller and b) not
as many people read it. That way I have less to worry about x.x
So yay! Thank you Margo! -huggles her to death-
Miroku rubbed his abused shin and sighed heavily. He only asked her what
book she was reading... there was no need to kick him. The fact that his hand
accidentally slipped from her shoulder didn't count either. He had apologized
for that. Still.... It had such a nice curve to it, her bottom did. He made a
mental note to silently congratulate his disobedient hand later. Such a nice
choice... However, he couldn't congratulate it yet... not with her sitting
right there.
"So...
how far have you gotten?"
She wouldn't
answer. Miroku took it upon himself to find out,
peeking over Sango's shoulder to look at the book.
With a twitch of her eyebrow, she leaned over in the opposite direction, away
from Miroku. Rolling his eyes, Miroku
simply moved scooted closer, successfully eyeing a page number.
"Wow... Page 97. Didn't you just start this today?"
Sango bit her tongue to keep from screaming at him. What was he, her
stalker? She just wanted to read...
A few more
minutes and pages past and the man still hadn't left her side. She glanced at
him from the corner of her eye and flushed red when she saw him staring at her.
"What do
you want?" Sango finally snapped, turning to
face him. Miroku blinked in surprise.
"I
thought that was obvious."
Sango took deep calming breaths.
"Sango?"
"I'll
give you until the count of three to get away from me."
"Sango..."
"One."
"Look,
I'm sorry about the other day."
"Two."
"I'll
come to the door next time - I swear I'll - "
"Three."
Snapping her
book to a close, she smacked it against the side of Miroku's
head, sending him to the floor. The smack echoed, making most of the heads turn
and an eerie silence fall over the cafeterium. Miroku winced as Sango stepped
over him, leaving him where he lay. So that hadn't gone as well as he
planned... Glancing up when a shadow fell across him, Miroku
groaned.
Inuyasha smirked and peeled his fallen friend off the floor. "Your funeral."
