They Would Fly – Scene I
A little note: I've never
done Sci-fi before ;-; so this is something a bit new
for me. I got the idea after reading Paradise Lost by Ursla
K. Le Guin so.... yeah ;; this is just a little side
project for me I know, I'm so bad....
They taught in the cafeterium if need be. And
although Fukusaku Noriyuki did not actually need any
help, he had nothing better to do anyway. He had brought no lunch. His kind had
no need of it. Food was more of a craving then a necessity and Noriyuki was
more then happy not to follow in the habits of humans.
Riyu looked around for a distraction until his gaze
landed on a girl across from him. He vaguely recalled Sakura mentioning
something about a mute, and seeing as the girl hadn’t spoken a word since the
morning began, Riyu figured this must be her. Much to
his surprise, she was looking straight back at him. Their eyes locked for half
a moment before she adverted her gaze elsewhere, a
pink tint running across her cheeks. A minute or two later, Riyu
heard her stomach roar and the girls eyes widened in embarrassment. Riyu couldn’t help but notice she had no lunch, frowned,
and searched for something to help the girl out.
It wasn’t as though it mattered to him if she was hungry or not, but this was a
lady. Despite his immediate dislike for the human-race, Riyu
had had it drilled in his mind that if a female, his species or otherwise was
in distress, it was his sworn duty to at least try and help out.
Not that he was ever much of the knight-in-shining-armor type anyway.
Out of the corner of his eye, Noriyuki spotted Izumo
walking his way, munching contently on an apple. He always thought his
half-brother ate too much anyway. Snatching the half-eaten fruit from the
shocked hybrids grasp, Riyu offered it to the girl.
If she was blushing before she was red hot now as she gingerly took the gift
offered to her. She looked at it in wonderment and gave back a shy smile.
Content with that, Riyu once again returned his
attention to the Instructor.
