Simple Tattoo – Part One: The Spell Scroll Tattoo
AN: I do not care what the rules are for Miroku’s Kazaana! If I say it’s a
certain way it’s a certain way. Just go with it! It is a fanfic. And this is the first time I’ve posted a fanfic so please review and tell me what you think.

Disclaimer: I do not own Inu-Yasha. And
I’m glad I don’t, because then the series would be really twisted.
“Hiraikotsu!” Sango
shouted, throwing the large boomerang at the bear
demon they were in battle with. The boomerang hit the bear’s left shoulder. It
moaned, and then charged at Sango. Miroku threw out three spell scrolls,
the demon ran into a protective barrier.
“Naraku has given me a shard of the Shikon
jewel. He said he’d give me more if I destroyed you.” the bear demon said.
“Kagome! Is the shard real?” Miroku
asked, smacking the bear demon with his staff.
“No! It’s not!”
Kagome shouted. Miroku jumped back from the bear
demon. He pulled the prayer beads from around his hand.
“Kazaana!” the bear demon was sucked into his wind tunnel. Sango put the hiraikotsu on her
back.
“Yay! Miroku
you did it!” Kagome said happily.
“Give some credit
to other people.” Inu-Yasha said while sheathing his
sword.
“You guys did
great. And now we have to tend to any wounds you got.” Kagome reached into her
humongous backpack and pulled out some ointment and bandages. “Come here Inu-Yasha.”
“Why? It’s just a
few scratches.”
“You wouldn’t
want them to get infected would you?” Kagome asked.
“Feh.” Inu-Yasha
sat down in front of Kagome and she rubbed some ointment onto his arm. Miroku and Sango began to set up
camp. Once the fire was started Kagome pulled out some ramen, and started
cooking.
“I’m going for a
walk.” Miroku said rising to his feet. He rubbed his
left shoulder.
“Houshi-sama is something wrong? You’ve been rubbing your
shoulder for the past few days. Did you get hurt?” Sango
asked.
“I don’t know.” Miroku walked off. A little later Sango
picked up a towel Kagome had brought back for her and stood up. “I’m going to
the hot-springs.”
“Okay Sango. See you later.” Kagome handed a bowl of ramen to Inu-Yasha.
“About time wench.” Kagome snatched the bowl back from Inu-Yasha.
“Sit boy!” Inu-Yasha slammed head first into the ground. Sango shook her head and walked away. She admired the trees
around her. The leaves were a lush green, the light coming through the thick
branches in tiny streams. The area seemed to glow. It was like a dream. The
trees started to thin out as she came closer to the hot-springs.
“Who’s there?” a
voice called out.
“Is that you Houshi-sama? I’m sorry I didn’t know you were here.” Sango said turning her back to the hot-springs, but not
before she saw it. “Houshi-sama, there’s a spell
scroll on your back. Below your left shoulder, the one you keep rubbing.” She said, her back still to him.
“I know, but it’s not a spell scroll, it’s a tattoo.” Miroku said.
“Why is it there?” Sango asked.
“When I was younger I was told it was protecting my life from
something other than my kazaana.” Miroku sighed. Sango turned to
face him, she gasped.
“Houshi-sama! It’s glowing!” she screamed pointing at his shoulder.
“It’s been doing that for the past few days. When
it started to bother me.”
“Should we worry about it?”
“I don’t think so.” Miroku said. Sango started to walk away be fore she left she asked,
“What’s it protecting you from?”
“They never told me.” Sango walked away.
When she got to the rest of the group she sat down.
“Sango didn’t you go to take a bath?”
“Houshi-sama was there first.”
“Right…” Kagome raised an eyebrow.
“Nothing happened! I just asked him a question.”
“Like what?”
“If he wants you to know he’ll tell you.” a little later Miroku came back it was dark and Kagome, Sango, Shippo, and Kirara had already gone to sleep.
“Now that you’re here I can get some sleep.” Inu-Yasha
closed his eyes.
“Kagome asked you to stay up and make sure I came back okay?” Miroku asked, taking a seat.
“No, Sango asked me to.”
“What?”
“I said Sango asked me to. Now shut up
and go to sleep.” Inu-Yasha said angrily. ‘She was
worried about me…ugh, it burns, when I left the
hot-springs it didn’t hurt this much.’ Miroku thought
while rubbing his shoulder. Soon he was asleep.
“So that’s him, huh?”
a mysterious voice whispered to herself. Her black hair shinning blue in the moonlight. “He’s attractive, I’ll take him for mine.”
