– Part One: Running Away From You
Sango
silently walked on the path they were headed. She squirmed uncomfortably. The
time of her monthly cycle had arrived and it was not the best time either. Rain
poured hard over her head down onto her kimono downward to her legs, making her
shiver from the sudden cold contact. Kirara mewed in
the direction of her master. Sango looked down at her
companion and smiled. She didn’t like to have her friend worried about her. She
winced, not the right time for her monthly cycle indeed.
Kagome had been watching her friend. She
decided she would venture the dangers of arguing with InuYasha.
“Hey, InuYasha, how long are we going to walk for?”
InuYasha
replied with the usual “Keh.”
“C’mon InuYasha!” she protested.
“You don’t
need to rest, just keep walking until we reach the next village!” He shot back.
“Do you
even smell the next village?” The
silence that he responded with was enough to convince her of what he was
thinking. She let out a sigh. “InuYasha, lets stop and rest.”
He turned
around in defeat. “Fine,” was all he said.
They walked into the forest and found an
abandoned hut, bigger than most that they found. Sango
was relieved, it felt good to be in dry clothes. She
hugged the warm material that Kagome gave her. She looked up to see a bunch of
black and dark violet material huddled in front of her. She blushed as she
turned her head upward a bit more to find a familiar smiling face. “Houshi-Sama?” was all she asked.
“Hello there Sango.”
He sat down beside her with a calm expression. Sango
squirmed again. Miroku had been noticing this for a
while and he was not sure why this had been happening. He was a lady’s man and
if you asked him just about any question about women he usually could answer.
But this was one thing that had him
stumped.
He looked at her suspiciously. After all
she had never been the type to show her weak side to anyone. But when you could
get small glimpses of it, it was such a beautiful sight. Miroku
sighed at the thought. It seemed that the only one who could bring that out was
Kagome-Sama. “Houshi-Sama?
Is something wrong?” Sango inquired.
Miroku
only grinned wildly at the girl. “Nothing at all Sango.” Miroku reached his
hand behind Sango’s rear end, and began caressing
her. Suddenly he stopped. Sango didn’t even have a
chance to get angry at him before he pulled his hand away. His hand was covered
in a thick wet and sticky substance that had an unpleasant smell. To him it
seemed like blood. But as far as he could remember, Sango
had not gotten injured during battle in that place, he would have defiantly remembered. He looked at Sango with an inquisitive look on his face. “Sango,” He began, “What is
this?”
Sango looked
at him with horror in her eyes. Kagome put her hand over her mouth, trying to
decide weather or not to try to get her friend out of this. Sango
didn’t know what to say. So she did the first thing her mind told her to do:
she slapped him, and she slapped him hard.
After that she ran out into the rain,
leaving the blanket Kagome gave her behind. Miroku
sat there with his eyes fixed on the ground not moving. “Hey Sango!” InuYasha yelled
after her. “Come back here! It’s raining
stupid! You’ll catch a cold!” Although Sango heard InuYasha call after her in his way of showing concern, she
only ran faster. Nothing seemed to be reaching her mind of reason. This was one
of the worst thing’s that had ever
happened to her in her entire life. ‘Why, why?’ she asked herself ‘why? What did I do? Why do I have to be in
love with that unforgivable bastard!
I don’t want to! I don’t want to love him!!!’
Suddenly she started crying. The
salty drops of water mixed in with the rain. Miroku
looked out the door with surprise all over his face. ‘Sango’ He suddenly stood up and ran out the door. “Aw,
Miroku c’mon not you too!” InuYasha whined. Miroku was running as fast as he could after her. He
suddenly felt he did something very, very
wrong. The monk found he could no longer run very fast so he took the first
part of his robe’s off, leaving him in black robe’s. He continued to run, as
did Sango. She didn’t want to see him; she didn’t
want to see anyone right then. She
knew it wasn’t her fault but she knew that he knew, and she couldn’t forgive
herself.

Kirara stared at the door, not moving a muscle she
knew her master wanted to be alone and she knew she would be safe with that
man. He would settle things out she knew it. Kirara
had her own instincts and even though that man had sometimes been the reason to
get her master upset, he seemed to have a knack for straightening it out right
after. Besides all that, she knew her master was in love with him and he was
with her. They never got to spend time alone and she thought it might be okay
to let them go… She was wrong.
