Like A Fairytale – Part Seven: This Is Why Mornings Are Over…

"Good Morning." A girl greeted Sango quietly as she entered the hall to the dining room. She was clothed in a simple white servants outfit, almost an exact match for her white hair and skin. Looking at her, Sango felt uneasy, but nodded to her anyway, walking as quickly as she could away without being rude. I'm sorry... Did I say dinning room before? This place wasn't a room... It was its own house! The ceiling reached high to the sky and was covered in paintings of youkai, mikos, and sakuras. The table seemed a mile long and, of course, everyone was seated at the far end of it... Typical.

"Well, look who's finally up." Rin smiled when Sango finally made it to the end of the table.

"Good morning." She sighed, pulling out her chair. Both Miroku and Kuranosuke jumped up from their seats over to Sango's. Smiling, Kuranosuke held the chair out for her while she sat down, blushing a bit. Miroku grumbled and slumped back into his seat, that is, until Sesshoumaru gave him the 'look'. You know... That 'sit-up-straight-and-act-your-age' look? (A/N: >.> I get that a lot...) Immediately, he snapped up, back straight. Only a few minutes after the exchanged, Kikyou finally came in. Seeing what had been done for Sango, a normal girl, Kikyou waited patiently (*cough*not*cough) for the same to be done for her. She looked at Inuyasha expectantly, he simply stuck a piece of ham in his mouth and continued his conversation with Kagome.

"Inuyasha." Sesshoumaru glared.

"What?"

'Finally!' Kikyou thought, 'It's about time someone pulls out my chair.'

"Don't talk with your mouth full." (A/N: XD)

"Maybe I want to!"

"Well, don't."

"Feh! Make me you fluffy-"

"Anyway! Kikyou, why don't you take a seat?" Rin interrupted, motioning to the seat at the end of the table to the gaping princess. No... Way... Had that happened to.... Her... Well... It did! Ha! "When will we be taking the tour Sesshomaru-sama?"

"Naraku should be here soon."

*knock knock*

Naraku silently strolled into the room, as stealth as a cat. The albino girl from the door and followed him quietly, along with a new one. She had short black hair, tied into a side ponytail and her blood red eyes were all you could see of her face. The rest was hidden behind a delicate fan that she held. Sango felt the room temperature drop about ten degrees. She looked around at the others to see if only she noticed. Both Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha's eyes narrowed while the others looked around confused. Then again... That may be because of the staring contest that was going on between the two siblings.

"Ha! You blinked!"

"Do not be absurd, I did nothing of the sort."

"Don't deny it!"

"There is nothing to deny. A youkai like myself would not do such a thing. I, Sesshoumaru, would never lose to a hanyou like you."

"Why you-"

"Ahem"

All eyes turned back to Naraku, who chose that moment to alert them to his presence.

"Naraku, how nice of you to join us." Kikyou greeted, strolling up to the lord. If Kurakosuke and Miroku were going to fight over a simple servant and the demons were too dull to pay any attention to her, surely this one would... Right?

Wrong

"Sango, you look distressed, is something wrong?" Naraku asked, not paying any mind to the pouting princess. Sango shook her head and glared up at him.

"No, I just didn't get much sleep, that's all."

"Nightmares?"

"You could say that."

"Sango! Why didn't you tell me you had nightmares?! I could have comforted you." Miroku gasped in horror.

"Not a chance Miroku." She glared, smacking his wandering hand with a spoon. He hissed and pulled it back.

"Simply concerned for your well-being."

"Sure..." She sighed, scooting her chair away.

"What was it about?" Kagome asked her friend.

"Oh, it was nothing. I can barely even remember it now." She decided. She really couldn't. She could feel the terror and the cold, but she wasn't sure what it was about anymore. (A/N: Don't you hate when that happens? You have a dream you wanna remember but can't? v.v; happens to me all the time...)

"You know Sango.." Rin started, mixing her eggs around, "Having a reoccurring dream normally means something."

"Normally, but not always." She argued, not liking where this was going one bit. They'd had this conversation before... The girls wanted Sango to see someone, a witch, or miko or something, to tell her what her dreams were about. She denied each time.

"Sess studied psychology." Inuyasha put in randomly.

"Great! Then maybe he can help!"

"WHAT?!"

"Don't worry Sango, it's all for the best." ^-^

"FOR WHO?!"

"excuse me..."

"For you of course!"

"Excuse Me...."

"Me?! I don't need any help!"

"EXCUSE ME!"

All heads at the table turned to face Sesshoumaru. He still looked serene, but his eyes flashed dangerously red... He didn't like to be ignored. "Has anyone thought to ask me if I was willing to do this?"

"Oh but please Sesshomaru-sama" Rin pleaded, "It would mean so much to Sango!"

"Would not..."

"Shut up."

Sesshomaru raised his hand and stood up. "I will do what it is you ask of me... After the tour...maybe. Naraku has been waiting patiently enough."

"No, do not mind me at all." Naraku smiled, "Go right ahead, I can wait. I too am interested in these 'dreams' the lady is having." 'More interested then you'd know...'

"But Rin I don't wanna!" Sango whined, appalled by how childish she sounded. Rin countered in that adult voice she had acquired but barely used.

"Now Rin, I am the responsible adult for you girls."

"Oh please."

"Shut up. Now, it's about time you find out what these dreams are and Sesshoumaru-sama was kind enough to volunteer to help."

"He didn't volunteer."

"That's beside the point." necessarily

"But RIN!"

"Sango."

*sigh* "Yes mam...."

"Very well then." Sesshoumaru said, walking to the door. "Come along Sango. Let us get started."
