Like A Fairytale – Part Six: What A Dream

"Sango, Miroku, there you two are!" Rin sighed when the two walked up. "Where have you been?!"

"Just looking around." Miroku said, "Any rooms left?"

"There's still a suite left" Kagome suggested in a sly tone... One Sango didn't like all that much.

"A suite?"

"Two room connected by a rest room." Kuranosuke answered Sango, speaking for almost the first time. She could have sworn there was a blush there.... So adorable! (A/N: it's so cute when guys blush! I think so atleast....)

"Oh... That's not too bad I guess, who has the other room."

"Oh, Miroku will!" Rin chirped.

"No-"

"There is a god!"

"Miroku!"

"What?"

"I got the princesses room." Kikyou said smugly, gesturing to a rather large room with a large bed.

"Actually, that's one of the servants quarters." Kuranosuke said, making Kikyou's mouth drop open. "The family was very generous to their helpers, and I'm guessing two or three people shared that room and bed."

"All of the royal chambers are sealed off. They haven't been opened since before the attack." Sesshoumaru regarded, holding back a yawn. He'd learned all of this stuff when he was younger on a 'field trip' his instructors had taken him on. Kuranosuke was here for the same reason.

"How come?" Rin asked.

"The queen locked them up. You need a separate key for each and a part of the family must accompany you in order to get inside."

"Oooooh, how's that?"

"Some say the queen had a Miko friend that set it up."

"Why... Why is that?" Sango asked, avoiding the look Miroku was giving her.

Sesshoumaru shrugged, "It is said that the queen hid a piece of the legendary Shikon Jewel in one of the rooms. If anyone knew where it was, they would have immense power, so the legend says."

"From a single shard?"

"From a single shard." He confirmed. "Only imagine what it would be like with the entire jewel."

"But that's only a myth, a story to tell little kids, right? Something like that would never really happen." Kagome said, looking from Rin to Sesshoumaru.

"The Shikon Jewel has the power to purify evil and/or grant one wish to the person who collected all of the shards." Inuyasha responded from behind her.

"That's all so immature, wishing and whatnot." Kikyou scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Anyway, I'm going to bed, I need my beauty sleep... Goodnight Inu-chan" She smiled sickeningly. Apparently, she'd taken a liking to the Hanyou, causing him to wince and her sister to glare at her. Inuyasha was one of the marriage options and there was going to be some major cat fights between the two sisters... oh the drama.

"Amazing... with all the beauty sleep, it doesn't seem as though it's been workin" Inuyasha snickered when Kikyou had gone to her room. Kagome and Sango burst into laughs and Rin, being the 'responsible' adult, turned around to giggle.

"Goodnight everyone. Sango." Kuranosuke whispered, bowing and blushing a bit. He didn't miss the warning glare Miroku sent his way but was more focused on the blush Sango was emitting. Smiling, he turned and walked to his room.

"Yes, it is a good time for bed." Sesshoumaru agreed, Rin blushed when he spoke and followed him to another hall... her room was next to his after all (A/N: what? you think they'd be together? you perverts XD) Everyone else bid goodnight before turning in for the night.

"Sango..."

"Not a word Miroku. Not a single word."

"How else would you explain it?" Miroku pressed, following Sango to their rooms.

"Coincidence." She answered simply, opening the door. "There's no proof that it was a royal room, or even that what Sesshoumaru said was true. You heard Kuranosuke, they were very generous to their servants. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm very tired, it's been a long day. Goodnight Miroku..." Sango whispered, closing the door. Sighing, she leaned against the door and ran her hand through her hair. She got chills all over when she and Miroku had entered that room. She just did not know why. Every thing seemed so familiar, but that was impossible right? Maybe she was out of her mind. A lost past, wanting to belong some where, maybe everything was finally getting to her. Feeling the vertigo of tiredness upon her, (A/N: o.O can you use it that way?) Sango slowly made her way to the bed. Even before her head hit the pillow she was fast asleep.

Breathing hard, I looked around for a way to escape. There was no where to run. We were in the middle of the river, and the land surrounding was clearly not a safe place to go.

"Do not look back darling. Take your brother and go! Leave here!"

That's what she said before....

But I can't worry about that now, we must get away... But how? The water's so cold... not even the demons will brave it. How can we? My poor brother... he's shivering, no idea what's happened... All of this, because of a broken jewel? What good will that do anyone? Then again, Mama did that all that care hiding it away... she told me once... but... I can't remember! Oh gods, save us!

This is the only way. Kami, please keep us safe....

Sango sat up in her bed, panting. Cold sweat poured down her face and she took deep breath, trying to steady her speeding heart. What a dream... She could feel the terror in her heart, the confusion. The icy water is what woke her, but... there was no water. Even now, the dream was becoming foggy as Sango sat there, staring at the wall. Slowly, her eyes closed once more and she feel back into a dreamless slumber, her memories fading away once again to nothing.

I'm soooooo sorry I didn't update sooner x.x School is starting and I'm so tired v.v; I have to march in the Hershey centennial parade this Sat x.x I don't know the music... hey! If you live near there in PA, check us out XD Downingtown High School Marching Band ^-~ I'm a flute, I'll prob. be one of the ones not moving her fingers and looking about ready to faint. oh! Guess what? There this part in our school that's kinda a squary circle and..... my oh my... I went through it twice... Then I was late for English by like... 10 minutes. x.x It royally sucked ass... *Siiiiigh* oh well. How's your school lives going? Homecoming... ugh... I don't know if I wanna go or not o.O you high school ppl, sophomores, etc.... what's it like? x.x asked my brother but ya know.. he's my brother. The Great Thing: You know what? You're the very first person who's reviewed for me, that doesn't like Sango/Miroku pairings o.O strange. v.v I'm very sorry to disappoint you, but this will be Miroku/Sango. There might be some Sango/Kuranosuke moments at first, but ultimately, it's S/M all the way. Albeit, with Inu/Kag, Sess/Rin, etc... And as for the explanation. I know... it is confusing. I can't tell you too much without giving away the story, not that you can't figure it out on you own x.x. Anyway, Sango can't remember her past. She was found when she was younger by a young Rin and taken in by the Eastern King, Kagome, Kikyou, and Souta's father. She gets these... dreams... and made them into a story that she hasn't yet finished telling. In truth, they're her memories coming to resurface, she just doesn't want to face them, so denies them for what they really are. I think that's the most confusing part. And If I made you even more confused x.x I'm really sorry. v.v I'm trying. Everyone ends up going to the Northern Kingdom (the destroyed one?) to meet each other. Kikyou and Kagome are to get married and two of the guys there are the marriage options. The other two aren't. Kuranosuke is just there to learn more about the country while Sesshoumaru is there to supervise. Rin is the same way, she's supervising the girls (yeah right...) and Kagome begged her mother to let Sango come along.

Lisa: bwuah... you are simply now... Lisa! BWUAHAHAHAHA. I don't know anyone in my HR x.x help... Only a handful of friends are in any of my classes and on top of that, they changed everything around! At first, we had 7 periods in a day, days A-F, nowww it's 11 periods a day, days 1-6. It's really confusing 'cause periods are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5/6, 6/7, 7/8, 8/9, 10, 11 x.x I'm so confused... and lost... the school is so much bigger then the middle school! *siiiiigh* I want Miroku to be my prince v.v......... Sango's so damn lucky! WHY?!?!?!? Oh yeah... I made her that way. But when you think about it o.O she's really not.... yeah..... gah, lemme alone.

Only 5 reviews for the last chapter? I'm disappointed v.v; and sad... Soli-chan! -.-; where were you....?! and update your story XD I wanna read more. Same with you Sadistic Shadow, but you did ^_^ and it's good.... but that's not the point! ja! *hugs*
