Kyle is a cowboy, pure and simple. He has spent his life moving from place to place, never staying anywhere long enough to put down roots. For him, staying at the Bar None is a chance to do just that. It doesn't hurt that the other kids treat him like one of the gang from the beginning. Then there's the Brad angle. And the fact that, despite normally being easy-going and likeable, he can't get along with Ted for more than a few minutes at a time.
