Skipping Christmas
By
John Grisham

Overview: John Grisham parts from his trademark courtroom novel to write an outrageous holiday comedy.  Luther and Nora decide that they will forgo the usual hectic season of Christmas--no gifts, no lights, no tree, no charities--NO CHRISTMAS!  They soon see they ramifications as their over zealous neighborhood competes to see who has the most Christmas cheer.  As Luther boycots the holiday, he "brings the neighborhood down".

Critique: This is a very fast read and an excellent book to pick up for the holidays (I only needed a few days to read it).  The story is VERY funny and uplifting.  In true holiday fashion, you are left feeling warm and fuzzy and thinking about what Christmas really means.  Very enjoyable!
