It has a port of the same name, just to the north along the North Sea. This is the northernmost state in Germany, surrounded by the north Sea, Denmark and the Baltic or "Ost" Sea. It is a city-state much like those of ancient Greece. It is the largest port in Germany along the Elbe River. The northernmost of the former Eastern States, this state houses Rostock and has a large fishing industry. It borders the Baltic Sea. This largest portion of lower Germany has many swamps as well as being home to Hannover, Oldenburg, M�nster, and Braunschweig. This former Eastern State houses the towns of Dresden, Chemnitz and Leipzig. This former Eastern State was the industrial portion of East Germany. It houses the cities Jena, Erfuhrt, and the cultural Mecca-Weimar. This former Eastern State is home to Magdeburg and Dessau. Instructions: 1. Cut out the states and 2. Cement them onto a piece of construction paper or poster board. 3. Then label each state 4. Cut out the descriptions of each state, and the corresponding label. 5. Match them together and 6.
