The Life of Princess Diana

Diana Frances Spencer was born on July 1, 1961 in Sandringham, Norfolk, England. Her parents are Edward John Spencer and Frances Ruth Burke Roche. Diana inherited her title of Lady Diana Frances Spencer in 1975 following the death of her grandfather, the 7th Earl Spencer. The schools Diana went to were, Riddlesworth Hall Prep School in Horfolk, England(1966-1974); West Heath in Kent(1974-1977); Insttut Alpine Videmantte, a Swiss finishing School near Gstaad(1977-1978). After her return from Switzerland, she worked for an American couple as a nanny while living in an apartment with 3 friends in London. She then became a kindergarten teacher at the young England School.

After renewing her relationship with the Royal Family, she became friends with Prince Charles and on February 24, 1981 their engagement was announced. They were married on July 29, 1981 in St. Paul's Cathedral in London. On June 21, 1982 Princess Diana gave birth to her first son, Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales. Two years later, she gave birth to her second child, Prince Henry Charles Albert David on September 15, 1984. On December 9, 1992 it was announced that Princess Diana and Prince Charles were officially separated. In 1996, the couple's divorce was final.

Some of Diana's favorite things in life were her sons, shopping, London's West End, health and beauty treatments, music and playing the piano, skiing, white wine and benefitting charity and doing good for others. The things that she valued most were. her and her sons' privacy. Some of the charities Princess Diana was involved are AIDS, ending the use of land mines, homelessness, cancer, drug abuse, and many more.

On August 31, 1997 Princess Diana was killed with her companion, Dodi Al-Fayed in a car crash in Paris, France.
