Eduard's instrument panel with photographic film dial faces just can't be beat. Hints for avoiding adhesive heartbreaks in this delicate construction operation: spraypaint the panel while it's still on the brass runner, and use rubber glue like "Walther's Goo" to put the photo film behind it. Remember, it never has to be touched again once it's in place, so the bond doesn't exactly have to be spot-welded. Know what I mean? On top of that, there'll be no danger of crazy-glue white-outs or anything like that. Oh, and paint the backs of the dial faces white and/or red as you see fit. A little touch of red here and there certainly doesn't hurt things from an aesthetic point of view.
