A likely Berlin scene around late April, 1945...Kit is Dragon 1/35 JSU-152, Verlinden Russian tank crew and Dragon "Soviet Motor Rifle Troops (Berlin 1945)" with some pose conversions done by yours truly.
I think the tank commander could be one of the Ferrer brothers. Mel? Jose? Take your pick.
Now you can see why I call this diorama "The Atheists." The stained glass windows are done with an old '70s Shep Paine technique of hard-line drawing of a stained glass pattern photocopied onto OHP transparency and then hand-colored with ink. The church, tombstones, wall and cobblestone street are all plaster and epoxy car body putty. Crashed gate is brass rod. Vegetation is from my parking lot and my bellybutton.
