“We could go to the mall.”

Connor shook his head. “No. No way! We spent *all* day yesterday at the mall. That was more than enough shopping to last me for the next year, thank you very much,” he replied quickly.

Dawn sighed, twirling her hair around her finger. “But, that was shopping with *Cordelia*!” she exclaimed. “As in, we only went where she wanted and bought what she thought was cute. This would just be us.”

Connor continued to shake his head, a stubborn expression on his face. “Sorry, but it’s not going to happen.”

“Fine! Then, *you* decide what to do. Everything I suggest you say no to!” Dawn snapped, crossing her arms over her chest, her lower lip sticking out to form a pout.

He grinned, leaning forward and kissing her gently. “Aw, you’re so cute when you sulk,” he teased, then added, “And, you only suggested one thing, Dawn. It’s not like you’re a fountain of ideas, you know.”

Dawn raised an eyebrow, giving him a partial glare. “Hey! At least I’m suggesting *something*! You’re just sitting there and complaining!”

Connor nodded, holding up his hands in a sign of surrender. “Ok, fine. Um…we could train? Dad just got some new weapons in, and…” he trailed off when he saw the look she was giving him. “Or, maybe not,” he muttered.

Dawn shook her head. “I can’t believe you! I come *all* the way from Sunnydale to see you and you want to *train*?! That’s just…well, I don’t know what that is, but as soon as I figure it out I’ll let you know!” she exclaimed.

Connor sighed, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her against him. Kissing the top of her head, he murmured, “It was just a suggestion, baby. We don’t have to train.”

“Good. Because, we aren’t! Now, come on! We have an entire afternoon to kill before I have to head back. We need to find *something* to do,” she stated.

“Hmm. Well, I can think of something we can do. In fact, we could spend all afternoon doing it, too,” he said silkily.

Dawn blushed, a grin filling her face. “Sounds fun.” Slowly, the smile faded. “But, we can’t. Your dad and Cordelia could be back any minute. And, that would be bad. Really, really bad.” Pulling away from him, she sat up straight.

“Damn,” he swore softly, already missing the feel of her in his arms. Sighing, he leaned back against the couch, his arms going behind his head. “All right. Something we can do, that we both enjoy, that everyone else won’t freak out about. You know, that doesn’t leave us much to choose from,” he commented.

She nodded. “I know. Of course, *I* still say we go to the mall.”

Connor gave her a dark look, shaking his head. “Isn’t going to happen,” he retorted.

Dawn turned to face him, a seductive smile on her face. “Really?” she asked innocently.

“Nope. And, nothing you say or do is going to change my mind.”

She sighed deeply. “Ok, fine,” she said in a rejected tone. “I was just going to mention that the Victoria’s Secret at the all-night mall has a forty percent off sale going on right now…”

Connor’s eyes widened. Quickly, he jumped to his feet. Grabbing her by the arm, he practically drug her off the couch. “Come on. Willow will be here to get you in less than six hours! Let’s go!” he exclaimed, pulling her towards the door.

Dawn laughed, grabbing her purse. “I figured that may work,” she murmured.

Reaching the front door, Connor pulled it open, only to come face to face with Angel and Cordelia. “Hey dad. Hey Cordy. We’re going to the mall. Be back later. Bye!” he called, rushing past them.

Cordelia raised an eyebrow, glancing over her shoulder in time to see Dawn wave as she was pulled around a corner. Frowning slightly, the former May Queen looked back at the puzzled vampire. “Ok, *what* was that?” she questioned. “Since when does Connor enjoy the mall?”

Angel shrugged, shaking his head. “Beats me. I gave up trying to figure him out a while ago, especially when it involves Dawn,” he replied, entering the hotel and closing the door.

Cordelia nodded, placing her ax on the counter. Sifting through the mail, she picked up her new Victoria’s Secret catalogue, her eyes widening as she read the cover. Tossing it down, she pulled her jacket back on and began moving towards the door.

“Come on, Angel,” she exclaimed, grabbing the vampire by his arm. “There’s a sale at Victoria’s Secret tonight.”

“So?” he replied, allowing her to pull him outside. “It’s not like you don’t already own everything they sell.”

Cordelia sighed, rolling her eyes. “Angel, Victoria’s Secret is at the mall…the same mall that your son and Buffy’s *sister* just went to,” she explained.

He frowned, still not understanding. “Cordy, what’s the point? There are several other stores at the mall, as well. What makes you so sure that’s the one they’re going to?”

She gave him an incredulous look. “Angel, think about it. They’re teenagers. They’re in love. They’re spending the last few hours they have together for weeks at the same mall where there just so *happens* to be a lingerie sale. Add to that the fact that *Connor* was the one rushing them out of here like the hounds of Hell were on their heels, and what else could it possibly be?”

“You’re right,” Angel replied, “I’ll drive. Let’s go.”
