| MSG Conaway has a Masters Degree in Counseling Education from McDaniel College and is a member of the American Counseling Association. He has earned the Meritorious Service Medal twice, the Army Commmendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal six times. Other awards include the National Defense Service Medal with star device, the Reserve Component Achievement Medal, the Reserve component Service Medal with bronze hourglass, the War on Terrorism Medal, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Overseas Service ribbon, and Leadership Development ribbon with "4" device. He also has two Superior Unit awards. MSG Conaway's recruiting awards include the Top New Recruiter in the Baltimore Recruiting Battalion in 1996. He earned the Army Chief of Staff Recruiter Excellence award, the Gold Badge with three saffire devices, the Gold Recruiter Ring, and the Glen E. Morrell Medalion and Ring. He exceeded course standards and graduated with honors from the US Army Sergeant's Major Academy in June 2007. MSG Conaway is married to Laura, and has six children. |
