Parade Instructions and Rules

Saturday September 15, 2001

11:00 a.m.

Line Up

 

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Location: Labonville- Rte 2 Mexico you will directed to the waiting area for set up

10:30 is the deadline for lining up

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, please remain in single file and stay to the right side of the road.

Judging

Floats will be rated on a point system and will be judged for Creativity, Originality, and Theme Depiction.

Bands and Color Guards will be judged during the parade for presentation.

Prizes

Floats: Prizes are: 1st place $100, 2nd place $75 and 3rd place $25

Non Fire Department Color Guard: 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place trophies

Non School Bands: 1st place $100, 2nd place $75 and 3rd place $25 along with trophies

 

Float Regulations: Must be within legal road limits

Part of or attached to a vehicle that can pull the float through the parade route

** If there are mechanical problems please pull over to the side of the road.

Driver must have unobstructed views

Candy throwing is prohibited- walkers can hand out candy to parade watchers

Keep a safe distance between yourself and the participant in front of you

Registration ribbons must be clearly displayed-all participants must be registered

Questions: There will be a Registration table at Labonville.

Awards: Will be announced and presented after the parade at Mountain Valley Middle School.

The Fire Convention Committee would like to thank everyone who participates in the parade.
