1. Fuoco, con - Italian - with fire
2. Furioso - Italian - Furiously, wildly
3. Futurism - A literary and musical movement which
originated in Italy early in the 20th century. It declared a rebellion against
traditional art of all kinds, and preached the use of noises in musical
composition.
4. Gamelan - A typical instrumental orchestra of Indonesia,
which includes woodwinds, some stringed instruments and several percussion
instruments (mostly gongs)
5. Gavotte - An old French dance in duple meter (in 2)
6. Gedehnt - German - Sustained, slow, stately
7. Gehaucht - German - 'sighed' - very softly and lightly
sung
8. Geheimnisvoll - German - Mysterious
9. Gentilmente - Gracefully, gently
10. Gioioso - Italian - Joyously
11. Glass Harmonica - A set of glasses of different sizes
which are rubbed on the rim with wet fingers producing a gentle, ethereal sound.
It was so popular in the 18th century that Mozart wrote a piece for it.

12. Glee- A secular composition for 3 or more unaccompanied
solo voices, popular in England.
13. Glissando - On the piano, a rapid scale effect obtained
by sliding the thumb over the keys.
14. Grace note - A note of embellishment, usually written
small.
15. Grave - Italian - Heavy, slow, serious.
