1.  Vigoroso - Italian - Vigorously, with energy

2.  Villancico - Spanish - (bel-yahn-see-coh) A Spanish choral song of the Renaissance period.

3.  Villanella - Italian - Type of 16th century vocal music from Naples, rather light-hearted in nature, less refined than a madrigal.

4.  Violento - Italian - In a violent, impetuous style

5.  Virelai - French - A medieval French song or ballad. The name comes from Vire, in Normandi

6.  Virtuoso (a) - Italian - A highly proficient instrumentalist or vocalist

7.  Vistamente - Italian - Brisk, animated

8.  Visto (or Vivo) - Italian - Brisk, animated

9.  Vite - French - Fast

10.  Vivace - Italian - Lively, animated, brisk (about allegro in tempo)

11.  Vivacetto - Italian - Less lively than vivace. (allegretto in tempo)

12.  Vivacissimo - Italian - Very lively, faster than vivace (like presto)

13.  Vocal cords - the 2 ligaments set in the larynx, whose vibration (caused by air expelled from the lungs) produce tones

14. Vocal score - A score arranged for piano and voice only.

15.  Vocalise - French - A vocal exercise or etude, sung on a vowel sound or solfeggio syllables
