7. Timbre – French – The tone quality of an instrument or voice
8. Tinto, con – Italian – With shading, expressively
9. Todesgesang – German – A dirge, a piece of music to commemorate the dead
10. Tone cluster – Several consecutive notes sung simultaneously
11. Tonic – The keynote of a scale. (Do)
12. Tonus peregrinus – Latin – literally means ‘wandering mode’. An excerpt of plainchant used in a choral work
13. Torch song – A highly emotional American ballad usually sung by a female who ‘carries a torch’ for an unresponsive male.
14. Tostamente – Italian – Rapidly and boldly.
15. Tostissimo – Italian – Extremely fast
