1. Con stanchezza – Italian – Draggingly

2. Ständchen – German – A serenade

3. Stanza – A symmetric unit of a song.  A verse.

4. Sterbend – German – Dying

5. Stimme – German – Voice

6. Strain – A certain passage in a piece; a phrase

7. Strascinare la voce – Italian – To sing a portamento (scoop) with exaggeration

8. Stretta – Italian – A closing passage (like a coda) usually faster than the rest of the piece

9. Strettissimo – Italian – Rapidly

10. Stringendo – Italian – To accelerate suddenly and rapidly with a crescendo

11. Strophic –  A song that has the same melody for each verse

12. Subito – Italian – Suddenly.  Ex; subito piano (suddenly piano)

13. Superbo – Italin – Proudly

14. Suspension – A dissonance cause by holding one note while others progress.

15. Süss – German – Sweetly
