| Let's Talk About It! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| To introduce the lesson ask students to name places they have seen fire. ( Answers could include fireplaces, birthday candles, etc.) Discuss with children how fire can provide heat and energy. Point out that fire can be a wonderful thing when it is used carefully and only by an adult. Then discuss with students how when fire is not handled carefully it can easily get out of control. It can damage property and hurt people and animals. Ask students what they know about fire safety and list these answers on chart paper. At the end of the lesson you can compare what the students knew and what they learned. |
