How The Ghosts Stole Christmas

In the beginning, when Mulder "begged" Scully to go inside the haunted house with him, many shippers believe he did it "because he was in love with her" (They seem to use that defense a lot, don't they? :-) However, I believe Mulder only asked Scully along for all the reasons Maurice and Lida told him later in the house, like his fear of being alone and how Scully is the only person he has. As for Scully being there with him, missing Christmas with her family, I believe she originally intended just to talk to him in his car, then she planned on leaving. She agreed to stay, because her car keys "disappeared". I *will* admit that she wanted to stay with him voluntarily, but IMNO, Scully only stayed because she was worried about Mulder being alone in the spooky (and possibly dangerous) house. Also, Mulder is her friend, and it would have been selfish and rude of her to leave him all alone like that on Christmas Eve. Would you leave a friend behind in a similar situation? Noromo opinions aside, I know *I* wouldn't.
