Ron was the fifth member added to the group New Edition back in 1980 thanks to his uncle, Brook Payne (the group's choreographer).  He has enjoyed much success over the years with fellow group members Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, and later Johnny Gill.  Success didn't stop there for Ron -- he's also basked in the tremendous success of the group Bell Biv DeVoe (a.k.a. BBD) in the early 1990's.

Usually the "quiet one" working the stage in the background, Ron's "quiet power" quickly captured the hearts of many ladies around the world.  That deep, seductive voice on songs such as "When Will I see You Smile Again" is enough to make a young lady have thoughts she KNOWS her mama wouldn't like! (sorry, got off track...where was I?...oh yeah)  Ron has certainly developed from his suggestive rap on BBD's hit "Do Me" to his recent blatant claim on what he can and would do to please a woman on the song "Shorty Gon' Get It".  (Lawd, help me!)

Ron's talents range from holding his own in two super-groups to producing, choreography, management, talent scouting, and from what I've heard, dabbling in real estate.  He has recently started his own company, Boyd Holdings LLC, and is on the look out for you talented peeps out there...so, if you can sing, dance, model, act or whatevah, give Ron a call.  What's the number you say?  Well, just purchase BBD's latest release and you'll find his company's contact information there.  (ok, Ron....can I have my .5% advertising fee now?) <smile>

No doubt this man has got gifts.  He can do everything from entertain to break hearts (mine included) globally.  Kind, sincere, and keeping it real.  Don't ever change.

We luv you, Ron!
