A day in the Life of Primus Alan Tyler

Primus was born on April 24, 2001. His mother's name is Shalunda . His father,s name is William. Primus was born in Terre Haute, Indiana at Regional Hospital. Primus is a single child and has four living grandparents. He was born without any physical or mental defects. Alan is a perfectly healthy baby that enjoys a very physical and playful life. I started observing Primus from the day of his birth. I was happy to see the attention that he received from his delivery. People from all over the state of Indiana recieved the chance to be apart of his delivery process. Lots of people from both sides of the parents families were able to either be apart of the filming of the delivery or be a post-delivery caretaker for the mother and the child.

Primus was eight pounds, two ounces on the date of his birth. The only complications in the babies delivery were whether Shalunda would have him naturally or by cesarean delivery. This was a complication because in his parents insurance coverage Shalunda could only be covered for having a cesarean delivery if it was the last resort in the delivery. This was a problem seeing that the mother wanted to have Primus by means of a cesarean delivery and had to wait until it was the last choice (which was thirty-two hours later than expected). But, after all of the drama, Primus Alan Tyler was born. Part of his physical development was the nutritional significance of the baby. Primus was listed as lactase-intolerant after he could not properly swallow and digest his Shalunda's breast milk. Primus had to receive a milk soybean substitute formula for the first eight weeks of his life. His motor development was proficient. Primus was a very flexible infant and progressed through all the stages of gross and fine motor skills. At a very early age he was able to grip the fingers of the people holding him and was constantly blinking his eyes and using them to follow people around the room.

Alan has been passing through many early developmental stages as explained in Piagets theory of infant development. Primus has progressed through the average scheme of cognitive development. All of his simple reflexes, beginning/primary reactions, and secondary circular reactions can all be viewed. Alans language development is coming along gradually. Throughout the day my mother (Betty Henry) takes care of Alan and she talks and allows Primus to mimic her actions. This will allow Alan to properly develop his language skills and be able to adapt in conversation when he gets older. Finally, one of Alans biggest processes in growth is his socioemotional development and his attachment to the people who take care of him. Ive noticed that when his mother or his grandmother leaves the room, Primus will follow them with his eyes while they leave the room. Because Alan is cared for well by his parents, receives all his nutritional needs, and has a loving family, his is a very happy baby and a great addition to my family.
