October 12, 2003
I went to the Nokia Unwired Tour on (Sunday) 10.12.03 with like seven other people (Monica, Maggie, Jenna, Lizzie, Katie K, Laura and Cristina). It was totally amazing, and you'll have the pleasure of hearing about it.
Saturday night, everyone but Jenna and Laura went to Maggies house, and we partied big time. Katie was going to go on an adventure (with the Lord of the Rings adventure card we found in Maggie's DVD) and touch the lamp with the talking mole on her hand while James Bond music played in the background. We went through yearbooks, danced, and watched movies. Later that night, it  was determined that Lizzie has boob trees (it's best not to ask) and she chops off boobs and plants them. October is the best time to harvest theese trees (again, best not to ask. In fact, disregard this whole paragraph if you didn't go to the concert)
Sunday morning, Jenna and Laura got there and we all walked down to White Hen to get snacks. We passed my cousin's house and I wanted to show up randomly, but I didn't. On the way back from White Hen, I saw this guy that I've seen near my cousin's house before who rides one of those old style bikes with the huge front wheel and tiny back wheel, and I really wanted to ask the ol' chap how the bloody hell he got on it.
At about 2:30, my parents came to Maggie's to pick us up. We rode down to the Rivera in Chicago and waited for the show to start. Long story short, we got t-shirts, Lizzie and Monica moshed while everyone else was right outside the mosh (but we had really good seats still). Nokia was brainwashing us all, and I was Nokia Squared. There was the coolest guy that had this kick-ass mullet. Mullets make everything more entertaining.
First, Diffuser came onstage. They were really good, and we're all obesessed now.
Ozomalti came on next, and I didn't think they were bad. They didn't really go with the style of music that was being played, so people go restless and everyone thought they sucked.
Then came Hoobastank, who was also amazing. They really got everyone pumped up.
Our boys, The All-American Rejects were the grand finale. They were undescribeable. It was such an astounding performance. They played The Cigarette Song, and Tyson really got into it. Tyson was just unbelieveably hott, and he even climbed this huge speaker. That was kick-ass.
Danny from Diffuser and Lizzie
It turns out Maggie and Cristina moshed for AAR, so we lost them. Jenna, Laura, Katie and I went outside, but we couldn't get ahold of everybody. We got a ton of free stuff outside, but my parents were waiting so we had to leave. After much time and deliberation, everyone came out. It turns out that they met Diffuser, got autographs, and it sucked we weren't in there.
The ride home was interesting. Long story short, Laura and Cristina slept while Jenna, Katie and I were being the strangest people in the world. We were doing the Strongbad techno, and made up many an air instrument, like the Air Cello, Air French Horn, Air Riffel, and the Air Pocket. It was a strage ride.
i also went to yellowcard with a few people, and it was amazing, but i'm a bit too lazy to write about it now. i'll try to do that later.
