This article discusses ways English language-Arts
teachers can infuse technology into their curriculum. The article gave examples
of how technology is implemented in schools across the states. One teacher

The article gave seven principles that could be
followed in order to infuse technology into the Language Arts curriculum. Of
the following principles, each supported reasons why technology should be
included into the course. 1“Introduce and Infuse Technology in
Context”, that says that technology should be commonly used and favorable
choice for the curriculum. Each principle gives a scenario on how teachers can
benefit from technology. 2“Focus on the Importance of Technology as
a Literacy Tool”, which discusses the importance of know the terms associated

implemented in order to have the greatest impact. 5“Provide a Wide
Range of Opportunities for Using Technology Within the Content’, students can
learn about technology while using technology through out the course. 6“Examine
and Determine Ways of Analyzing, Evaluating, and Grading English Language Arts
Technology Products, use research techniques to test the effectiveness of particular
products. 7“Emphasize Issues of Equity and Diversity in Technology
Accessibility’, how often is the lab available and how do students feel about
it? The article believes that classrooms will be infused with technology and
will look very different from the traditional setting.
PERSONAL REACTION:
The article gave great examples for English
language Arts teachers to consider for technological purposes. I believe that
tomorrows classrooms will be structured around technology and the learners will
use this as an everyday medium.
Students are not only implementing technology to
practice writing skills, they are using it to become more familiar with
advances and how technology work. The article was very descriptive and
informative; this is something that I would pass on to teachers of Language
Arts as well as reading and English. In my classroom experience, the biggest
deficit my children have is reading and writing. I try to implement technology
as much as possible in these two subject areas. I know that by using technology
in these subjects areas that students struggle most in, I will get feedback
that is more positive and students who are more motivated.
