Brownies        169 Avenue A          July 26, 2002
We finally played this venerable east village rock club, and just in time because they are now closed down. The show was a smashing success: A lot of our friends came out to catch our sloppy antics and high-spirited rock. Thanks to everyone who made it down. We played a lot of brand-new numbers that we have been working on, like Do What You Want, Everything Falls Apart and Fighting. Plus we threw in some oldies- our set ended with a fiery twin-guitar solo during Hey. The Brought Low was totally rocking, and The Figgs were in top form for their farewell Brownies performance. A great night. Thanks to Mike Stuto and Mike, Pete & Pete. Click here for pictures.
2002 SHOWS
E. O'Dwyers      Saratoga Springs, NY     Oct. 12, 2002
The beer was flowing, the girls were dancing and everything ran smoothly for our mini-tour up to the Capital District. A lot of familiar faces showed up and rocked out for our set at O'Dwyers. There were reports from the floor that we were too loud, but since when is that a problem? Those upstaters aren't used to our wall-of-mole sound. It's nice to get back up there and play; it's also nice to play an encore, and we did. There were two other great Saratoga bands playing that night: the garage rock stylings of The 1234s, featuring Phil Donnelly and Steve Smith (who played his bass upside-down!), and the rump-shaking, rock and roll sounds of The Remainders (formerly B.D.R.P.- they changed their name at the show), which features Dillon Moran (my cousin!) and his wife Jen. Thanks to Dillon for booking the show and also to all our family and friends who came out to hear us.
Set List: Everything Falls Apart (new), Cracked, Didn't Mean, Unfinished Business (new), Given Up (new), Do What You Want (new), Dragonfly (new), Ball and Chain (new), Loose (Stooges), London, Loose Me (old!), Empty and Carnage. Encore: All Comes Out...
Luna Lounge           171 Ludlow St.                 Oct 29, 2002
Happy Halloween from Ride The Mole. We dressed up for this one-- Ted took Best In Show with his shamanic ensemble, and we owe Patty a t-shirt for her knowledge of 80's trivia. We played a bunch of new ones again (opened with Do What You Want), and ended the show with Moira's favorite Loose Me. The other band on the bill, The Big Sleep, were friendly and rocked out a psychedelic set. Click here for pictures.
