On July 15, 2000, Jo Ann would have celebrated her 45th birthday. To mark this occasion, the family started off the day with a BBQ at the family home. It was a beautiful day for that.  We proceeded to lay down the stepping stones to her memorial garden. These stones were handcrafted by each member of the family. There were 10 in all. From there we celebrated mass for her at St. Joseph Church in Imperial. The mass was very emotional for all. We then finished the day by writing letters to Jo Ann, placing them on helium balloons, and sending them to heaven. We only hope that they reached her. What do you think? It was a great ending to a beautiful day.
