IT  IS  FINISHED
As they stand below me, they think that all is lost.
If they really knew what's happened, would they feel a loss?
Their tears would not be sad ones, but for everlasting joy.
This world could not contain, the glorious thundering noise.

Their hands would all be lifted, their voices filled with praise.
If they knew they'd gained a brother, and he'd soon be raised.
If they knew what's really happened, they'd fall on bended knee.
To worship their Creator, throughout eternity.

I look upon their faces, heartaches and pain ... I see.
This being my Father's Will, I take them upon me.
I look upon their bodies, they're lame, worn and bent.
I take them now my Father, for this is why I'm sent.

Disease, poverty and lonliness, I see their pain so real.
The hurt, the tears, the aches, the scorn, this is what I feel.
My men look upon me, with tears streaming down their cheek.
Give them the power to be strong, but keep them mild and meek.

As I look around me, my vision slowly growing dim.
I'll soon commit this vessel, and sit to the right of Him.
A soldier is looking at me, I whisper, "Please, come abide."
His only answer to me came, when his sword pierced my side.

My brothers and sisters are crying, do they yet not understand?
That I came not for vengeance, but to save the race of man.
The crown of thorns is pressing, my strength is almost gone.
His face is hidden from me now, I must do this all alone.

The soldiers now are laughing and casting lots for my clothes.
The robe it has no value, it's just a mockery from my foes.
One soldier stands upon a hill, tears his face has stained.
He ... I think understands, that today a Lamb was slain.

The clouds are swirling above me, time itself is still.
I believe you could hear a whisper, a mile from Calvary Hill.
A thunderous eruption suddenly sounds, I cry "Father, it is done."
And my eyes, finally close to death .... it's Finished and Satan knows we've won.
