I Believe In You
“And now it’s time for husband and wife to share their first dance as…well, husband and wife.” The crowd gave a small rumble of laughter at Joey, who stood on stage along with Chris, Lance, and JC. The large crowd clapped as Justin, with his newly acquired wife Crystal, made their way onto the dance floor.
Both had large smiles on their faces. This was the happiest day of their lives, and only friends and family were there to share in their joy. Justin stood and held out his hand to Crystal, who graciously accepted as the crowd clapped. Once in the middle of the floor, Justin motioned to the guys with his hand, never once taking his eyes off of his beautiful bride.
Crystal’s eyes lit up with surprise when she heard Joe’s voice. She turned around and looked at the stage in shock, not believing her ears. She had begged and pleaded with publicist to let him come and sing at her wedding with the guys, but it was no avail. She turned to Justin who winked at her as the song began. “Surprise!” he mouthed. Crystal smiled and gave him a quick kiss. Soon, they began to move in sync to the sweet tune of Joe’s voice.
I never believed in
dreaming', it never got me very far.
I never believed that love could find me, like an arrow through the
heart.
I never believed in miracles, or building castles in the air.
Not until that day I found you, turned around and you were there.
Justin instantly remembered back to the day they first met. It was at a charity banquet. She was a newly hired assistant to Johnny, his manager. Justin had been talking to Lance and JC when Johnny strode over to introduce her.
***Flashback***
Justin turned around and was floored by her beauty. She had long sandy blonde hair that was twisted elegantly into a bun with strands hanging loose to frame her face. She was dressed in a sleek, black dress with no back and had the most stunning pair of blue eyes. They were bright, vibrant, and absolutely breathtaking. Her whole image was.

From the day you came you
gave me, a whole new point of view.
I've been touched by an angel, it's impossible but true.
Crystal remembered the first day they met as well. She looked at Justin and could tell his mind was with hers.
***Flashback***
“Guys, I’d like you to meet my new assistant, Crystal. She’ll be working with you guys when I can’t be there,” Johnny said.
“Hello Crystal. I’m JC.” He shook her hand.
“I’m Lance. Welcome to the team.” He smiled as he shook her hand as well. Crystal, always being the out-of-the-spotlight type, muttered a quick “hello” and “nice to meet you both.” She turned to the next person, Justin, and suddenly became nervous when she found that he was watching her. JC elbowed Justin, who immediately snapped out of his stupor.
He took her hand into his and looked into her eyes and said, “I’m Justin, pleasure to meet you. Hope we can become good friends.” And, always being the charmer that he was, bent over her hand and gave it a kiss, never once did his eyes leave hers. Crystal blushed, and managed to squeak out a “hello.”
***End Flashback***
I believe in you.
I swear that forever from
today, no one will ever take your place.
I believe in you.
And I believe our love will last always.
Crystal leaned her head against Justin’s shoulder and sighed contently as Justin sang the next verse to her.
I never believed in fairy
tales, though sometimes I wish I could.
I never believed that golden slippers, could ever find the perfect
foot.
His soothing voice brought on a whole new memory. It was vacation time, and they had been dating for about two months. Justin had come to pick her up for their evening out.
***Flashback***
“Come on in Justin,” Crystal said, motioning him in. She was on the phone finishing up her conversation. After hanging up the phone, she went into her room to grab her stuff. Never seeing her room before, Justin followed her, his curiosity piqued.
He had entered her room to find it painted a pinkish hue. It was like a fairytale princess room. The four poster canopy bed with sheer pink and white coverings; the soft, lush, elegantly decorated carpet; the vanity dresser; and a large trunk at the end of the bed that doubled as a couch. Justin, in awe, walked to the bookshelf to find all kinds of fairytale books, some big, some small. He smiled and turned to her.
“This is something I’ve never seen before. A new side to you.” He grinned as she turned around and blushed, apparently she had not that he had followed her.
“Yeah, well, I’ve always loved fairytales.”
“Really? What’s your favorite?
“Aladdin,” she admitted sheepishly, her face growing even redder.
“So, any part of your room that’s not like a fairytale?” Crystal pulled open her closet door that was stuffed with non-fictional items.
***End Flashback***
I never believed in magic, or
that wishes could come true.
But your very first kiss changed all this, something only you could do.
This verse also reminded Justin of another moment they shared. They were back on the bus, traveling to the next city. Ever since he had seen her room, Crystal had been more open about her love for fairytales. He had seen her reading her books in her spare time. On this day, she had a new one.
***Flashback***
“What ‘cha readin’?” he asked. She shrugged.
“Some book I picked up. It’s not very good. I might even return it.”
“What’s it about?”
“Oh my god! Get the reporters in here now! Crystal has found a fairytale she actually doesn’t like!” she laughed
“Funny Justin,” she said as she placed the book down and turned to him.
“I know. That’s why you’re laughing,” he replied and grinned.
“What do you have against fairytales?”
“Never liked them.”
“Why?”
“They never work out for me. Every time I find someone who I think is special, they use me. It’s already hard enough trying to find someone to trust,” he admitted hesitantly.
“There is someone out there for you,” she replied. She didn’t take what he said to heart because she didn’t think he was referring to their relationship. No, he wasn’t. She would never intentionally hurt him. She saw what he went through, and admired him all for that he did. Even if he didn’t believe it yet, she would show him that there were nice people in the world.
“Yeah? Who?” he questioned. No one has ever stuck around. They all want me because of my status, because of who I am. Or they want to use me to get into the business because of my many connections. No one wants to see the REAL Justin. They want to see THE Justin Timberlake of NSYNC.”
Knowing that he was letting out some frustrations that he had kept bottled up, Crystal was there for him in a way that no one else had been. She supported him and listened to his problems, knowing that he needed to vent. She slowly leaned over and looked him on the eye.
“I want the REAL Justin,” she said softly.
***End Flashback***
It was at that moment that they had shared their first REAL kiss. And that moment, they both knew that they loved one another, even though one was not ready to admit it.
You made me a believer, you
made me trust again.
You showed me there's a pot of gold, at every rainbow's end.
I believe in you.
I swear that forever from today, no one will ever take your place.
I believe in you.
And I believe our love will last always.
Only love, sets you free.
Both Justin and Crystal had mental flashes of the two of them together at various events. CFTC, award shows, birthday parties. All of which they were happy, carefree people just because they were together. The love they had for one another was apparent to all the people who were watching them dance and to all the people who had seen them together.
And if it's up to Fate, then you're my Destiny.
Clips of the day they first admitted that they loved each other flashed though their heads.
Now I know, now I see.
Anything can happen, if you just believe.
The day Justin proposed flashed through their minds. Crystal lifted her head from Justin’s shoulder and looked up at him, knowing their thoughts were the same. Tears started to well up in her eyes. The two had come so far. Their relationship being tested numerous times by others, insecurities, and fears. Yet they overcame it all and were finally together for life.
I believe in you.
I swear that forever from today, no one will ever take your place.
I believe in you.
And I believe our love will last, always.
I believe in you.
I swear that forever from today, no one will ever take your place.
I believe in you.
And I believe our love will last, always.
I believe in you.
I swear that forever from today, no one will ever take your place.
I believe in you.
And I believe our love will last, always.
Crystal had tears of joy streaming down her face by the end of the song. Justin smiled joyously at her and carefully wiped them away.
“Hey, hey, hey. No crying now. This is a happy day.” He smiled suppressing small tears of his own. Crystal just laughed and shook her head at his words.
“These are tears of joy,” she said.
“I love you,” he said to her, as the final notes of the song died out, and bent his head and gave her a long love-filled kiss.
The crowd clapped for the newlyweds and whistles were heard. There were many wet eyes of people, each filled with love and joy for the two out on the floor.
