St. Jude Research Hospital
Let me tell you just a little bit about this place.  My first encounter with this hospital was at a Seminar I went to with Scott.  They took us through a tour of the hospital and we got to meet patients.  I really was dreading this tour, simply because I had children and really didn't want to see all the sadness that you think goes on here.  I was TOTALLY amazed at how WRONG I was!  These kids were happy!  They were not scared to be there.  There were little trycicles in the hall ways, a teen room just for teens!  These volunteers at this hospital put forth every effort to make the patients and their families as comfortable as possible while here.
Now a little about how this place works.
When you find out that your child has some form of childhood cancer, the last thing you want to worry about is bills.  When you step foot in this hospital, their main goal is to get ALL your focus on your sick child.  You will NEVER be mailed a bill!  St. Jude runs solely on donations and as incredible as it sounds, it costs $1,000,000.00 a DAY to run this place!!  Just think how important donations are big OR small to the paitents here!
Sometimes paitents will need to stay close to the hospital to be able to get their frequent treatments.  When this is the case for a family, St. Jude houses them and provides them with everything they  may need to live as normal a life as possible while they are here.  Some patients and families will end up staying months at St. Jude.  There is also 24 hour chef's available for the patients.  See alot of times during Chemo treatments the children loose their appetites or have sores in their mouths and find it hard to eat. So when they finally do feel like eatting weather it be 12:00 noon, or 12:00 midnight, there is a chef there to cook them what ever they want.  Nutrition is a VERY important part of their healing as it is with anyone.
This was just a very brief explaination to you about the hospital and why ANY dontations made are SO important.
Now there are several ways that you can help.  Click on any link below to view.
