Sugarstar

Sugarstar is my first ever zine. It is a largely personal zine which assumes you all want to know a lot about me and my opinions on stuff...which is why there's a love/hate section which spans two A4 pages and an interview with myself. There's also articles on recycled creativity, the 'new' Courtney Love, lesbianism in the mainstream media, body image/self-loving, the matrix, music reviews, stop esso, and the shittiest comic strip in the world.

The zine is A4 size, with thirty-something pages. I have mixed feelings about it; in some ways im really proud of it because it looks pretty god and its my first self-publishing effort; in other ways i feel like cringing every time i look at it. It can be quite airy fairy at times, and i've changed my opinion on a few things, but it's not a bad zine, and I have gotten nothing but positive feedback (perhaps they were just being nice though). If you want a copy, I can do trades, because it was expensive to photocopy so I don't like asking people for cash. Plus trades are about ten times better, you can meet new people and read new zines. It's much more personal.

Here are some pictures of sugarstar #1...
