| Class Descriptions
This program has three focus areas. Students can choose to explore visual arts, science, or law. Each grade level will concentrate on one or more key areas within the chosen field. Students will design their own individual project to further deepen their understanding. All participating students will be given guidance and assistance choosing a college and applying for admission and financial aid. Visual Arts 9th grade: Study will focus on pencil sketching, oil painting, and watercolors. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. 10th grade: Study will focus on clay sculpture and metal sculpture. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. 11th grade: Study will focus on photography. This includes color, black and white, and digital editing. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. 12th grade: Study will focus on computer imaging and graphic design. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. Science 9th grade: Study will focus on science as it relates to careers in medicine. This includes traditional medicine, as well as sports medicine, personal training, and natural methods of healing. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. 10th grade: Study will focus on nature. This includes marine biology, plant and animal life in different climates, and environmental issues. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. 11th grade: Study will focus on engineering and physics. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. 12th grade: Study will focus on research and experimentation. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. Law 9th grade: Study will focus on law history. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. 10th grade: Study will focus on civil and criminal law. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. 11th grade: Study will focus on corporate law. Students will be able to choose their own focus area for their individual projects. 12th grade: Study will focus on family law.
